bulletWhat is Carpet Binding?
Carpet Binding is an edging tape that is normally sewn around carpet rugs to keep the edges from fraying. See our carpet binding page for more info.
bulletWhere can I get carpet binding done in my area?
If you are not near the North-Eastern Ohio area, there should be a carpet binding service in your area but they may not advertise to the general public. Almost all carpet stores provide a carpet binding service.  Some stores have their own equipment to do their binding but most stores have a binding service such as ENDI to do the binding for them.  The easiest way to find a carpet binding service is to just go through the carpet store.  Otherwise, you can check the Yellow pages in your area under carpet binding, rug binding, carpet or rug services, rug finishing or even carpet sales.  Click this link for online yellow pages. Make sure to set your location.  http://yp.yahoo.com/
bulletHow much does carpet binding cost?
Carpet Binding prices vary by location, competition and who is doing the binding for you.  You will get the lowest price by going direct to a binding service.
At ENDI, we price our binding by the linear foot.  For example, a 2’ x 3’ rug will use 10 linear feet of binding.   Our retail binding price is $1.00 per foot so this rug would cost $10.00.   Prices can be higher at Carpet stores (typically $1.50 - $2.00 per foot). Also, there can be extra charges if you want the rug cut into a difficult shape.
bulletDo you sell binding tape or equipment, where can I get information on equipment and supplies?
ENDI does not sell equipment or supplies.  However, we can give you the contacts for our suppliers.

bulletWhat is serging? Do you offer that as well?
Serging is a type of binding where thread is sewn around the edge of the carpet instead of binding tape.  It gives the rug a different finish than tape.
Sorry, we do not offer serging at this time.

What is fringing?  Do you offer that as well?
Fringing is another type of edging, typically only sewn on the ends of a rug, not all the way around.
Sorry, we do not offer fringing at this time.

bulletCan I drop off binding at your shop?
Yes! Just bring your binding by during our business hours. Click Here for our shop location.
bulletIf I come to the shop can I get my binding done while I wait?
Usually, if you bring your binding by our shop, we can do it while you wait. It all depends on the amount of binding you need done and how busy we are at that time.  It sometimes can be difficult to interrupt a larger project due to the time it takes to setup the machines.
